Dublin GAA has got off to a flying start in the Allianz National Leagues this spring and it has also been scoring well in the commercial world.
This week it announced its latest commercial deal when Skins become the official compression and therapeutic gear supplier for both the Dublin Senior Football and Senior Hurling teams over the next two years.
The agreement will see the both squads and management teams provided with the Skins A200 compression range which are specifically designed to enhance circulation and increase oxygen to the muscles.
“We work very closely with both management teams to ensure that they are provided with the leading performance equipment and with Skins we are confident that the players have the leading technology available in this area,” said Dublin GAA County Board Chairman Andy Kettles.
“We are delighted to announce this exciting partnership and to be supporting both the Senior Football and Hurling teams,” added Skins General Manager for the UK & Ireland David Ling. “This is the largest sponsorship deal we have ever concluded in Ireland and demonstrates our long term commitment to Dublin GAA and the overall GAA market where we already support the Kilkenny hurling and Kerry football teams”.
Vodafone is the primary sponsor of the Dublin GAA teams and pays an estimated €1 million a year to be associated with front of shirt and a range of other activation measures.
The secondary sponsorship market has been handled in large part by Legacy, a company set up by players within the Football panel and headed by Bernard Brogan.
Legacy announced the deal yesterday and called on Paul Flynn from football, Paul Ryan and Niall Corcoran from Hurling to front the story.
Two weeks ago it was announced that the Gibson Hotel was to be the official partner in that category for the Dublin Football team who also have a relationship with Renault as official vehicle partner.
