
This is in addition to the 17 games which are being shown live on RTÉ including last weekend’s stunner between Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk, viral coverage of which has gone around the world.
The broadcaster will also continue to show all home Republic of Ireland international UEFA Under-21 2021 European Championships qualifying fixtures as Ireland bid to qualify for the tournament after a strong start.
Shamrock Rovers FC, currently sitting on top of the table with four wins from four will look to continue their winning run against Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds on Saturday night, a game which will be live on eir Sport.
Ahead of that, the eir Sport coverage kicks off tonight with a big Dublin Derby as Bohemians’ welcome Shelbourne to Dalymount. The two sides will be ground sharing from next season, first at Tolka Park and then at the redeveloped Dalymount Stadium.
Today’s announcement shows eir sports continued support for the League as they enter into their 15th year of broadcasting the league.
eir Sport also continues to house the LOI Weekly podcast, now in its fourth season and has turned the show into the only studio-based weekly League of Ireland chat show. You can watch it every Wednesday night on eir sport 1.
The broadcaster will also continue to show all of the U21 Republic of Ireland home fixtures in the UEFA U21 2021 European Championships qualifying campaign. With Stephen Kenny’s young squad currently top of the group one table, it promises to be an exciting end to the campaign, with the visit of Iceland to Tallaght Stadium on 26th March now of vital importance.
Graham Burke, who returned to Shamrock Rovers from English side Preston on a 12-month loan last July, was on hand to launch eir sports fixtures alongside Bohemian FC manager Keith Long and Shelbourne’s head coach Ian Morris.
