The 2025/26 Energia All-Ireland League was officially launched yesterday at Energia Park, with players from the Women’s Division and Men’s Division 1A joining Energia’s Lorna Danaher and IRFU President John O’Driscoll to look ahead to the new season.

The league season will kick off on Saturday, 27 September 2025, with both the Men’s and Women’s campaigns running across 18 rounds of competition.

The season will culminate in a double-header final at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday, 26 April 2026, featuring the Men’s Division 1A and Women’s Division deciders.

Supporters unable to attend games will once again be able to follow live action through free streams on IrishRugby+.

The opening weekend will feature Nenagh Ormond v Old Belvedere in Men’s Division 1A, while the Women’s Division showcase game between reigning champions UL Bohemian and Railway Union will stream live the following weekend.

Energia has been the title sponsor of the AIL since 2019. Speaking at the launch, Lorna Danaher of Energia said the league represented “the weekly heartbeat of club rugby throughout Ireland, where grassroots stars inspire the next generation.”

“It’s been a true pleasure to see the progression of the men’s and women’s competitions in that period.”

IRFU President John O’Driscoll described the competition as “a cornerstone of Irish rugby” and thanked Energia for their continued support, highlighting the AIL as a vital pathway for players, coaches, and clubs nationwide.

The Energia AIL spans six divisions across all four provinces, providing a platform for players to develop and for communities to celebrate the rivalries and passion that define the club game in Ireland.
