The FAI’s media team is working hard to bring a behind the scenes flavour to the world cup with video content across multiple social media channels and on FAI TV.
Across the five Social Channels of Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, the Association has an aggregate of 1,089,000 followers or subscribers, though of course there will be a fair degree of crossover between them.
It is still a powerful tool to tell the story without the filter of independent media and is likely to be the way in which many of the younger audience attracted to follow the team will have their memories of the tournament shaped.
Here is a selection of the content which is being created and published as the countdown to the opening fixture continues.
