The Fan Engagement Conference Kilkenny (FECKK), taking place later this month, has launched a public vote to recognise the best fan engagement programme of the year delivered by an Irish sports governing body.

In a competitive environment, governing bodies have had to become increasingly sophisticated and creative in how they engage with and continue to grow their fan base.

Sixteen sports governing bodies including the FAI, IRFU, GAA, Horse Racing Ireland, Athletics Ireland Paralympics Ireland, Horse Sport Ireland, Triathlon Ireland, Gymnastics Ireland, Basketball Ireland and Special Olympics Ireland are in contention to pick up the award on March 29th. The award will recognise outstanding fan engagement programmes across the full spectrum of a sporting bodies activities, from online campaigns to event activations.

Voting at www.feckk.ie closes on March 27th and the award will be presented on the day.

Alongside the fan engagement award, FECKK 2017 continues to add to its impressive speaker line-up.

Adrian Bevington, former Managing Director at the FA, will take an executive level look at approaches to fan engagement with the discussion facilitated by RTE presenter and FECKK 2017 MC, Damien O’Meara.

Solo Atlantic Rowing Record Holder, Gavan Hennigan, will share his incredible story from a 49 day, 11 hour ocean crossing. Hennigan has built a social following of over 20,000 and aims to cement himself as the world’s leading adventurer, racing in the harshest environments and pushing the bounds of physical and mental performance.
