Sport for Business 20/20 is supported by Ulster Bank and will take place on Tuesday, November 20th at the bank’s Dublin headquarters on Georges Quay in Dublin.
The event will give an opportunity to 20 sporting bodies, clubs or businesses involved in sport to do a five minute pitch of one programme or initiative for 2013 to an audience of 20 business leaders with a view to attracting commercial partnership.
“There is no shortage of imagination in Irish sport and this will give a platform for the best and the brightest ideas to be seen by an audience that could make a significant difference,” said Sport for Business CEO, Rob Hartnett.
“Pitches will be short but effective and we will both assist in their preparation and give feedback from specialists in sports marketing and sponsorship who will be present on the day. It will be like a dragons den for sport and we have already been overwhelmed by the initial interest.”
“We are delighted to have Ulster Bank on board as a partner for the event which we envisage developing into an annual opportunity to have ideas seen by decision makers who are finalising budgets for next year and who will be able to take initial ideas and see if they can be tailored to suit their own business needs for the next 12 months and beyond.”
There will be 20 pitches available to members of the Sport for Business community and the closing date to apply for one of them is Friday, November 9th. There will be a preparation day in advance of the 20th where presenters can run through their presentation and receive pointers on how it might be enhanced.
The business audience will also be limited to 20 members of Sport for Business, all of whom have an interest in developing relationships with sport in the long term.
