The countdown has begun to the Sports Direct Northern Ireland Women’s Premiership, which returns on Friday, 9 May 2025.

Defending champions Cliftonville, who enjoyed a historic treble-winning season last year, will kick off their title defence at home to Linfield Women on the opening night.

Glentoran Women, last season’s runners-up and 2023 champions, will begin their campaign with an away trip to Lisburn Ladies at the Bluebell Stadium.

Last season’s surprise package, Lisburn Rangers, will kick off their second season in the top flight home to Larne Women at Crewe Park, and at Seaview, Crusaders Strikers will take on Derry City Women.

The new format of the Women’s Premiership will see each of the eight competing teams play against each other home and away over 14 rounds.

Then, the league splits into two sections for three more crunch fixtures, with the team that finishes on top claiming the prestigious title.

Fans can catch all the action, goals, and excitement live and on demand on DAZN and the NI Football League’s digital platforms throughout the season.

Ahead of the start of the Women’s Premiership campaign, competitive female football returns with the beginning of the VBET Women’s League Cup group stage on Friday, 11 April 2025.
