Flogas and Paralympics Ireland

Flogas has continued it’s march into Irish sport with the announcement that it is to become an official partner of Paralympics Ireland.

The company, one of the leading LPG and Natural Gas providers in Ireland, has committed to supporting the team on the road to Rio and beyond. They will be working with a team of Irish para-athlete ambassadors including Pat O’Leary, Michael McKillop, Eve McCrystal and Katie George-Dunlevy and Niamh McCarthy.

The company also recently came on board as a supporter of Ireland’s boxing medal hopefuls in Rio Michael Conlon and Paddy Barnes, as well as being official energy partner of  the Irish Cricket team and supporter of Irish amateur golf through the Golfing Union of Ireland.

“We’re very proud to lend our support to Paralympics Ireland and I am very pleased to welcome a great team of Paralympic athletes to the Flogas sporting brand ambassador team,” said John Rooney, Managing Director of Flogas Ireland.

“They will be a credit to Ireland in their respective disciplines this September.”

“With just 72 days to go until the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, it’s great to have a company with the vision of Flogas providing support both to the organisation, and to their para-athlete ambassadors, which allows us to provide optimum preparation support to the 2016 Irish Team,” added Paralympics Ireland CEO Liam Harbison.

Flogas is the sixth Official Partner to sign up in support of Paralympics Ireland ahead this year’s Games in Rio.  The organisation is hosting a Ball in support of the team on Saturday, July 2nd and is also working on an imaginative fundraising campaign to be launched next month aimed at bringing the effort of the athletes and the support of those who cheer them on closer together.
