This Sunday at Croke Park, fans arriving early for the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final and viewers tuning in from around the world will be treated to a special live pre-match production as part of the GAA’s evolving matchday and global engagement strategy.
‘The Warm Up’, hosted live in-stadium and streamed globally on GAA.ie/thewarmup, Facebook Live, YouTube, and @OfficialGAA social channels, will go live from 2pm, offering a mix of entertainment, expert analysis, and fan-focused activity ahead of the first-ever All-Ireland final meeting between Cork and Tipperary.
The show will be hosted by Aisling O’Reilly, joined by an all-star panel including Cork dual star Eoin Cadogan, Tipperary All-Star John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer, Waterford’s Noel Connors, and Kilkenny legend Walter Walsh, whose championship debut in the 2012 All-Ireland final replay famously yielded 1-3. GAA President Jarlath Burns and GAA Head of Hurling William Maher will also lend their insights to the occasion.
The production will preview the day’s defining match-ups, revisit this year’s Munster clashes, and reflect on classic Cork-Tipp encounters of the past, while also honouring the Kilkenny 2000 All-Ireland winning team, who are being celebrated as this year’s silver jubilee team.
Live music from Fiach Moriarty and Colm Lynch will animate the Cusack Stand concourse in the build-up to throw-in, while fan engagement elements including a jersey cannon, competitions, and on-pitch spectacle—complete with pyrotechnics, drummers, and ceremonial pageantry—will amplify the matchday energy inside the stadium.
Adding to the pageantry, jubilee captain Willie O’Connor will bring the Liam MacCarthy Cup pitchside before throw-in, marking a poignant moment ahead of the 137th All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final.
As tradition dictates, the teams will parade behind the Artane School of Music, with additional music from the Scór Sinsir 2025 All-Ireland Ballad Group Champions, Ballycomoyle from Westmeath.
