The GAA has confirmed details of its GAA+ streaming service for the 2026 Championship season, unveiling a 40-match schedule alongside expanded access initiatives that will see nursing home residents and senior inter-county players receive the service free of charge.
The Season Pass, priced at €95 for viewers in Ireland, is now on sale, with a 10 per cent discount available to GAA members through Foireann. Individual matches can be purchased for €15, or as part of a ‘3 for 2’ bundle costing €30.
In a continuation of previous initiatives, all nursing homes will again receive complimentary access via partnerships with the HSE and Nursing Homes Ireland, ensuring residents can follow the Championship across the summer. In addition, the GAA has confirmed that all senior inter-county players will also be granted free access to the platform.
The Association reiterated that GAA+ remains central to its wider development model, with 83 cent of every euro generated reinvested into coaching, clubs, counties and player welfare.
Extensive Championship Coverage
The 2026 schedule will feature 40 exclusive matches spanning the Sam Maguire Cup, Liam MacCarthy Cup and Tailteann Cup competitions.
Coverage begins on April 11 and 12 with fixtures in London and New York, before moving into the Provincial Championships. In total, GAA+ will broadcast 19 Provincial football matches, seven Tailteann Cup fixtures and 14 games from the All-Ireland football series.
The platform will also carry 10 live matches from the Munster and Leinster hurling championships, including standout fixtures such as Galway v Kilkenny, Waterford v Tipperary and Limerick v Waterford.
A further 12 matches will be streamed from the newly structured All-Ireland football group stages, along with two quarter-finals scheduled for June 27th.
Expanded Presentation and Analysis
Aisling O’Reilly and Gráinne McElwain return to lead coverage, with commentary from Dave McIntyre, Mike Finnerty and Liam Aherne.
The football analysis team has been strengthened by the addition of All-Ireland winners Patrick McBrearty and Stefan Campbell, alongside David Burke, Podge Collins and Niamh Rockett. They join established names including Marc Ó Sé, Paddy Andrews, Michael Meehan, Aaron Kernan and Bríd Stack.
In hurling, Richie Hogan, Séamus Hickey, Eoin Cadogan and others will continue to provide expert insight across the Championship.
Free Midweek Programming
Following subscriber feedback, GAA+ will expand its midweek offering to four studio shows during the Championship, all available free of charge on its YouTube channel.
New additions include The Hurling Analysis Show on Wednesdays, featuring Noel Connors and Séamus Hickey, and Football in Detail on Thursdays, with Paul Galvin joining Michael Meehan and Shane McEntee. These will complement existing Monday and Friday programmes.
Enhanced Production and Accessibility
The GAA has also committed to further improvements in production and user experience. Multi-camera setups will be used for more than 30 games, alongside improved picture quality, live subtitles and enhanced accessibility features across the platform.
GAA President Jarlath Burns said the service continues to play an important role in connecting supporters with the games.
“The 2026 Championship promises to be an electric one across both codes and I am proud that the GAA’s own streaming platform will bring this excitement to the fingertips of those who cannot attend a game,” he said.
Head of GAA+, Noel Quinn added that the expanded offering reflects growing demand.
“GAA+ continues to grow its match day and midweek programming to meet obvious supporter demand,” he said.
“We are delighted to welcome new and returning faces to the presentation team and look forward to live coverage throwing in on April 11.”
