DFI Beds, the Official Sleep Partner of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, has unveiled Dublin footballer Hannah McGinnis as its newest brand ambassador.
The 20-year-old, who plays her club football with Skerries Harps in Dublin, enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2025 when she won her first TG4 All‑Ireland Ladies Senior Football Championship medal with Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football Team.
McGinnis has already established herself as a key member of the Dublin panel since making her senior inter-county debut in a Lidl National Football League fixture against Kerry Ladies Gaelic Football Team in 2024. She is also a two-time TG4 Leinster Ladies Senior Football Championship winner.
Her appointment comes as DFI Beds enters the second year of its partnership with the LGFA. McGinnis joins Leitrim’s Charlene Tyrrell and former Armagh star Caoimhe Marley Morgan as ambassadors for the 2026–2027 period, promoting the importance of sleep, rest and recovery in sport.
The announcement was marked with an event at the DFI Beds showroom in Newry, where McGinnis was joined by Managing Director Brian McCann and LGFA President Trina Murray.
“As a player with Dublin, recovery is just as important as training,” she said. “We push our bodies to the limit in the gym and on the pitch, but you only really see the benefits of that work when you prioritise sleep.”
“For me, quality sleep is the foundation of performance — it’s when my body repairs, my mind resets and I’m able to prepare for the demands of inter-county football.”
“Matches are faster and more intense than ever, so focus and reaction time are crucial. If I’m well rested, I’m sharper in decision-making and more resilient physically. Partnering with DFI Beds makes perfect sense because sleep isn’t a luxury for elite athletes — it’s essential.”
LGFA President Murray said McGinnis is a strong role model for players across the association.
“We are absolutely delighted to see Hannah come on board as an ambassador for DFI Beds,” she said. “She is an outstanding representative of our games and a role model for players across the country. Her commitment to excellence on and off the pitch makes her the perfect advocate for promoting the importance of quality sleep.”
“Hannah embodies the passion, commitment and resilience that we see across Ladies Gaelic Football, and she is a fantastic advocate for the importance of rest, recovery and quality sleep in an elite sporting environment,” added Brian McCann, Managing Director of DFI Beds.
“As we enter the second year of our partnership with the LGFA, it’s exciting to build on the momentum we’ve created together in highlighting how sleep supports performance, wellbeing and peak recovery for players at all levels.”
