Horse Racing Ireland has partnered with eCOMM Merchant Solutions as payment provider to its four racecourses at Fairyhouse, Leopardstown, Navan and Tipperary.

Each of the racecourses will benefit from eCOMM Merchant Solutions award-winning service that focuses on providing customers with the latest and most innovative payment technology solutions.

With offices in Navan, County Meath and London, this FinTech company is a pioneer in the use of a comprehensive suite of in-house services, being a payment gateway, acquirer and processor all in one.

The Navan Racing Festival and Fairyhouse Winter Festival were the first feature race meetings that rolled out the new system.

It will also be in place for the upcoming Leopardstown Christmas Racing Festival from December 26 to 29, where over 60,000 racegoers are expected over the festival season.

“We are delighted to partner our four racecourses with eCOMM Merchant Solutions and sincerely thank Noel and Valerie Moran for their commitment to this agreement,” said Paul Dermody, CEO of HRI Racecourse.

“In recent years our racecourses have invested significantly in technology to enhance the customer experience and this agreement with eCOMM will help accelerate this with access to their innovative solutions.”

“This is a particularly pleasing partnership for HRI as we are also supporting an existing supporter of Irish racing.”

“We are thrilled with this appointment by HRI Racecourses – on a purely personal level, we have been involved in the horseracing industry for many years, and so this is a great combination of both personal and professional interests,” added Noel Moran, CEO of eCOMM Merchant Solutions.

“I am also excited at the prospect of bringing new and innovative solutions for the benefit of HRI Racecourses, and the race-going public, into the future.”
