Killarney Adventure Race24

A film about Ireland and the world’s largest adventure race will be broadcast to an expected UK audience of 300,000 viewers tomorrow morning on Channel 4.
The Killarney Adventure Race also captured the Outsider Event of the Year 2014, at a ceremony in Dublin last night.

The programme features competitors taking part on the different stages of the race, which is run over 70, 60 and 50 kilometre courses around the mountains and lakes of Killarney in October.

It will showcase the stunning scenery of the Killarney National Park to a worldwide audience and has been supported in its production by Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland.

The show will subsequently air on Sky Sports, Setanta, TG4 and Fox Sports across the United States.

It is a final example of how an event that is well run and well promoted can be taken to another level of appeals in terms of the massive growth market of sports tourism.
This event is organized by Elite Event Management, based in Kerry and sponsored by Helly Hansen.
