Katie Taylor and Alan Quinlan are to be involved in helping 1000 workplaces around the country stay on the ‘Right Track’ with regards to fitness and nutrition.
They are heading up the third year of the Right Track programme supported by facility management giant Aramark.
The campaign began in 2013 and Taylor has been involved from the outset. Quinlan joins her this year as a wellness and motivational coach. The two also work together as part of the Sky Sports Living for Sport initiative.
Right Track puts forward a three tier fitness and nutrition plan, depending on each individuals starting point and is aimed at improving physical health and well-being in workplaces throughout Ireland.
A new plan will be released each month through social media channels Facebook and Twitter. Physical events including the two project leaders will be held at some of the 980 workplaces where Aramark is involved over the course of the year but the programme is available to be followed by anyone.
“This is the third year of our Right Track programme, said Frank Gleeson, managing director of Aramark Food Services. “We are fully committed to building on our original promise to get Ireland’s workforce healthy.”
“We currently operate in nearly 1,000 workplaces throughout Ireland and are dedicated to helping our teams and customers to make positive changes to their lifestyle so that they improve their well-being.”
“A healthy workforce is a happier and more productive workforce and our ambition is to support them in this goal.”
“The beginning of a new year brings renewed motivation for people to get active and get healthy,” added Taylor.
“I’m delighted to once again be involved with Aramark’s Right Track campaign and support those who are looking to improve their lifestyles and their general well-being, especially throughout workplaces in Ireland.”
Aramark employs 270,000 people around the world and is a major player in the sports stadia sector. In January last year it added Croke Park to its Global network providing all stadium catering facilities in a seven year deal reported to be worth over €9 million.
Join us next week when we will be taking a look at workplace fitness through the perspective of a new survey from the mental health charity Aware.
