The Irish Men’s Hockey team scored a 2-1 win over World ranked number two Germany yesterday, the winning goal coming ten minutes from time.
Electric Ireland supported the team during its so close attempt to make it to the London Olympics but there is no long term sponsor in place and it must represent one of the premium sponsorship opportunities for a major brand in Irish Sport at the moment.

That also ended in defeat after a magnificent run but O’Flynn deserves the accolades after playing through the final, and scoring, with what later emerged to be a broken jaw. She has been on a liquid only diet since returning from Belgium but expects to be back playing shortly.
