The Ireland Women’s National Team will play at the Aviva Stadium for the first time on Saturday, September 23.
Following talks between the Football Association of Ireland, the Irish Football Association and UEFA, the opening game of the 2023-24 UEFA Women’s Nations League between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland will kick off at 13:00.
After being drawn into Group B1 in League B, alongside Northern Ireland, Hungary and Albania, Vera Pauw’s team were originally set to start the new competition on Friday, September 22nd.
Ticket details will be confirmed in due course, while WNT Season Tickets will be valid for this fixture.
Separately, tickets for the International Friendly games against Zambia (June 22) and France (July 6) will go on public sale this Friday, May 26th from 10:00 via ticketmaster.ie
The team has built a formidable base and a loyal following at Tallaght Stadium but this will be the first game after the World Cup Finals, against old friends and rivals from Northern Ireland and the view is that this is a great opportunity to test the public appetite for a bigger venue.
