The 2020 Irish Sport Industry Awards have been postponed but will be judged and staged later in the year.

The decision was taken yesterday by the Federation of Irish Sport in light of the developing circumstances around the response to Covid19

“Unfortunately the Federation of Irish Sport – Sport Industry Awards in association with Marsh Ireland have been deferred to a later date in 2020,” said CEO Mary O’Connor.

“We would like to thank everyone for their support so far and we are encouraged by the number of entries we have received.”

All entries already received under the open categories will be retained for consideration when a new date for the awards is finalised.

The entry process will remain open in the interim and what better way to spend time than to reflect on the successes of campaigns or projects you might have been involved in.

Entries for the Awards can be made right here…

IRISH SPORT INDUSTRY AWARDS

Rob Hartnett from Sport for Business will Chair the judging panel drawn from the great and the good of Irish sport and business.

The judging process will be completely open and transparent and the group of eleven judges will meet over a long day’s coffee, at the right time,  to determine that the ultimate winners really are the best of the best.

Join us tomorrow when we will have a full interview with Mary O’Connor on the mood of Irish sport as our public health crisis deepens
