Details of the first Irish Sports Summit, organised by SpóirtFest have been announced.  The event will focus on how the funding of sport in Ireland can be managed and developed.  The event takes place in Ballincollig County Cork on Friday, May 25th and will feature a wide range of speakers from within sport and business.
Rob Hartnett from Sport for Business will be one of those speaking, alongside many other members and friends of ours including Warren Deutrom from Cricket Ireland, Padraig Power from the IRFU, Paul Dermody of the GAA, Peter Smyth from the irish Sports Council, Sarah O’Connor from the Federation of Irish Sport, Jim Glennon of Edelman, Eamon Sayers of the Sports Charitable Trust and Liam Harbison, CEO of Paralympics Ireland.
The event will take place over one day and is aimed at all those who are involved in the business of sport, the sport of business and all points in between.
The morning session will focus on the impact of the current economic session while the afternoon will centre on the tools and supports that are available to clubs as well as the broader opportunities that exist to develop commercial revenues and valuable partnerships.
