FAI – Preocurement Manager

The FAI is seeking to appoint a procurement manager to lead the ongoing development of the FAI Procurement Department as well as overseeing a wide range of products and services spend and be involved in category areas such as HR, Professional Services, Marketing, Team Operations, Grassroots and Logistics. You will identify opportunities for consolidating spend and undertaking tendering and contract management opportunities for a wide range of requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic Procurement planning across the Association in consultation with key business departments and establish procurement KPI’s for departments.
  • Supervision of the Procurement team and staff.
  • Manage new supplier onboarding and contract performance management programme to include SLA and KPI implementation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Lead the negotiation and supplier selection within the approved vendor/central services framework
  • Lead Procurement projects across the Association including central service and supply areas ensuring business needs are aligned across the Association, category spend is managed effectively and drive quality and cost savings for the Association.
  • Ensure procurement support is provided to other improvement projects across the business.
  • Ensure compliance with the FAI Procurement Policy and other applicable FAI policies is maintained on an ongoing basis by all staff and those with responsibility for acquiring goods/services on behalf of the Association.
  • Continual assessment and support of the procurement policy, procedures and staff training to optimise administrative efficiencies by researching best practice in the industry.
  • Conduct staff training as required.
  • Delivery of comprehensive and complete administration processes, tender management, record keeping, reporting, and budgeting procedures.
  • Reporting to FAI Senior Management, Board and external stakeholders as required both orally and in writing.
  • Supporting and in some cases leading the development of new FAI policies and procedures as directed by the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as the role and the Department evolves

Basketball Ireland – Development Officers

Basketball Ireland is to increase its presence in Meath and South Dublin with two new Community Development Officers. Basketball Ireland is now inviting applications for the following roles:

  • “Basketball Ireland Community Development Officer (Meath)” in conjunction with Meath County Council and Meath Local Sports Partnership.
  • “Basketball Ireland Community Development Officer (South Dublin)” in conjunction with South Dublin County Council.

The successful candidates will be committed to providing participation opportunities for all sections of the community in various basketball activities, and will work with organisations including local authorities, schools and governing bodies, with the primary goal of ensuring that suitable programmes and training services are in place at local and national levels.

Both roles are full-time roles based in Meath County Council and South Dublin County Council.

Gaelic Players Association – CEO

The GPA is the representative body for inter-county hurlers, footballers and camogie players. Following the recent merger with the WGPA, the organisation represents over 4,000 current inter-county players and an increasing number of past players.

The organisation is seeking to appoint a CEO with the drive and vision to lead the organisation through an exciting next phase of development.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will be a dynamic leader with an innovative, open and growth mindset.

Along with excellent people skills, the person must have the ability to establish and develop positive relationships with a range of stakeholders including players, the GAA/LGFA/Camogie Associations, Government Bodies, commercial partners and individual supporters and donors.

Tasked with overseeing the organisation’s day-to-day management and leading a high performing team, the CEO has a core responsibility to develop and implement operational policies aligned to the vision of the GPA and to deliver the organisational strategic plan.

The successful candidate will inspire confidence, while always representing the members’ best interests. In addition, the CEO should have a deep understanding of and empathy for the experience of inter-county players in relation to their on-field activities and their lives off the field.

Connacht Rugby Head of Commercial and Marketing

Connacht Rugby has experienced significant growth both on and off the pitch over recent years and is about to enter the next exciting phase of its journey. It is now looking to appoint a Head of Commercial and Marketing.

Understanding the current business context of Connacht Rugby is obviously important but while a background in sports marketing may be useful it is by no means essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all commercial, marketing and revenue-generating activities and will lead the Commercial and Marketing team to develop and implement operational and strategic activities including the following key deliverables.


• Develop actionable insights grounded in well-researched consumer knowledge to pursue growth strategies across all revenue-driving assets, including ticketing, partnerships, events and more.

• Define an appropriate product strategy and roadmap for all current and new revenue lines, understanding the full journey from need, to concept ideation and ultimately execution.

Brand, Marketing & Communications

• Development of Connacht Rugby’s Marketing Strategy, leveraging data-driven insights to expand brand reach, create sales and achieve overall business growth objectives.

• Develop a robust social/content strategy to target and engage prospects at the top of the funnel and continue to nurture and convert them into fully engaged fans.

• Translate Connacht Rugby experiences into simple, creative, and impactful stories that resonate with fans and partners alike.

Data & Digital

• Continue to build out the Connacht Rugby Data Strategy enabling greater utilisation of data and trends to inform and direct strategies that continuously improve overall performance.

• Create a data-driven product culture that emphasises continuous testing, experimentation, iterative design and development.


Reporting to the CEO, the role requires an experienced, strategic thought-leader and problem-solver with a proven ability to use data-driven insights to help see the big picture and propose creative and innovative solutions to complex growth and marketing challenges.

To be a successful candidate it is essential that you:

• Are a strategic and commercial-minded executive with demonstrable experience of successfully leading a team through a period of transformational and new revenue growth.
• Have 7+ years of experience in building impactful commercial and marketing strategies in both B2C and B2B contexts.
• Possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to power decision-making.
• Have experience building a high-performing, cross-functional team culture where discovery and exploration of new ideas are viewed as vital to success.
• Are digitally savvy with a strong understanding of the digital landscape and the ability to constantly stay ahead of the competition.

Cricket Ireland – Non-Executive Director

Cricket Ireland is looking to add to its Board through the appointment of a new independent Non-Executive Director.

The Board comprises a Chairman, six nominees of the four provincial cricket unions and five independent directors, appointed to bring specific additional skills and expertise to the Board and provide independent judgement and objective challenge on issues of strategy, governance, performance and resources. All Board members are non-executive and act in a voluntary capacity. Meetings take place approximately every two months: currently they are being held by Zoom but in normal circumstances, most would take place in Dundalk.

Each Board member is likely to be asked to serve on at least one sub-committee, with a broadly similar meeting pattern.

This newly defined independent director role has been introduced following a recent evaluation by the Board of its effectiveness with the specific objective of constructively challenging and supporting management to ensure the system delivers optimum performance by national squads on the world stage.

Experience of high-performance sport at senior representative level (as player, coach, selector, media commentator or high-performance expert) is required, alongside operational experience of a sporting high-performance team environment; detailed knowledge of the dynamics and pressures experienced by elite players/athletes/coaches; and an understanding of high-performance systems and structures in sport.

Knowledge of cricket is desirable but not essential

Senior Account Manager – Titan Experience


Titan Experience are looking to appoint a new Senior Account Manager.

The successful candidate will likely have three years experience in a similar role in an agency and would be working across a wide range of different projects.

Among the different roles and responsibilities that will come with the job are:

  • Responsible for management and full ownership of key client relationships
  • Communicate with clients at a senior level to resolve issues and enquiries
  • Work closely with the Client Services Director and provide frequent client reports/updates to same
  • Assist in the idea generation process and prepare client pitch presentations and cost proposals
  • Develop and deliver consultancy, create and deliver substantial campaigns and events for clients as required
  • Project manage large scale sports, sampling and corporate events and campaigns
  • Budgetary Management – P&L ownership for projects and accounts under their remit
  • To negotiate beneficial and competitive rates and contracts with suppliers and maximize third party revenues to specified targets
  • Supplier relationship management including supplier payment process
  • Provide timely project reports and summaries to clients as required
  • Liaise with account managers and executives to manage workload and resource support requirements
  • Attend weekly management meetings and provide project updates
  • Actively contribute to the Titan Weekly WIP for accounts/projects in their remit
