Just Eat will be testing the football skills of Irish Students over the coming weeks as part of the local activation of its UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League partnership.

The takeaway delivery brand brought Peamount and Republic of Ireland star Stephenie Roche to DCU yesterday to launch a campaign that will be visiting four of Ireland’s biggest universities this autumn on Champions League match days with their Hit The Spot Challenge.

This is Just Eat’s second season of sponsoring UEFA’s premier club competitions and it will be giving one lucky student from each campus who takes part in the Challenge, the chance to win the top prize of a pair of tickets to a UEFA Champions League group game including travel & accommodation.

There will also be tickets to Shamrock Rovers’ UEFA Europa Conference League fixtures at Tallaght Stadium, Just Eat vouchers and plenty of other merchandise.

Yesterday’s event at Dublin City University will be followed by visits to University College Dublin on October 4th, Ollscoil na Gaillimhe, Galway on October 11th and finally the University of Limerick on October 12th.

“I have really enjoyed meeting the students and encouraging them when it comes to taking their shots,” said Roche.

“I am delighted to be working with Just Eat in support of their UEFA Champions League sponsorship and being here today as one lucky student will get to win the top prize of Champions League tickets, along with travel and hospitality.”

“This is the second year of our sponsorship of the Champions League and we are really looking forward to bringing our Just Eat Hits The Spot Challenge to the various colleges around Ireland,” said John Carey, Senior Marketing Lead at Just Eat.

“We want to encourage football fans to make a special occasion out of match days, making them one to remember. We hope that the students taking part today and those that will attend the upcoming college visits enjoy taking part in the Just Eat Hits The Spot Challenge, along with the prizes that are up for grabs.”
