Ulster Rugby will welcome 15,000 fans to the Kingspan Stadium for the opening of the United Rugby Championship on September 24th against Glasgow.
That same attendance level, over 80 per cent of the stadium limit, will also be allowed for the visits of Benneton and the Emirates Lions in October. The UK date for easing all restrictions is still set for now as October 22nd.
The increase in fans in the interim follows a successful pilot event for 10,000 fans in the pre-season match against Saracens.
Under the new guidelines, 75 per cent of the terracing in the ground will be open. All seats will be available with the exception of a small area of the Family Stand in which season ticket holders who are more comfortable with one metre of social distancing will be accommodated.
The bars will also be open though there will be new one-way flow systems in place to avoid crowding.
Ulster Rugby have now opened up sales of their season tickets as well as match tickets for the opening fixtures.
