Next year’s KPMG Women’s Irish Open will be hosted at The K Club’s Palmer South Course from August 27th to 30th, 2026.
The announcement marks a major step in the continued rise of the tournament, which has rapidly re-established itself since its return in 2022 with the backing of title sponsor KPMG, a founding member of the Sport for Business community and a long-time champion of gender equity in Irish sport.
The move to The K Club — one of Ireland’s most iconic golfing destinations — signals the ambition behind the event and the commitment of all stakeholders to elevate women’s golf to the highest possible platform.
It follows a series of record-breaking editions, increased Irish representation, and strong crowd growth, positioning the event as a highlight of the domestic sporting calendar.
Ryan McCarthy, Managing Partner of KPMG Ireland, welcomed the move:
“We’re proud to continue our support of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open as it moves to The K Club in 2026.”
“This world-class event has become a standout occasion in our efforts to advance women’s sport in Ireland.”
“The K Club’s outstanding facilities and golfing heritage make it the perfect stage to showcase the very best of the game and inspire the next generation of talent.”
The 2026 date aligns with the build-up to the Solheim Cup, ensuring top players have an incentive to compete and fans can expect a strong international field.
2025 Tournament winner Lottie Woad, Charley Hull, Georgia Hall and Leona Maguire, all likely Solheim Cup players, as well as Captain Anna Nordquist, all took part in this year’s tournament at Carton House.
Tournament organisers ForeFront Group are confident the change of venue will further elevate the fan experience and strengthen commercial partnerships.
Cian Branagan, CEO of ForeFront Group, said:
“The K Club represents another major step forward and will undoubtedly set the bar even higher,” said Cian Branagan, CEO of ForeFront Sports.
“We’re really looking forward to working with the team at the resort to deliver an unforgettable experience for players, fans, and partners alike.”
“This is a tournament we want to support and elevate,” added MJ Fetherston, Director at The K Club.
“We’ve invested heavily in the Palmer South course and are excited to bring tournament golf back to it.”
“Our entire team is committed to making this the best KPMG Women’s Irish Open yet.
Family-friendly programming will once again be a feature of the 2026 event, with U16s admitted free of charge, ensuring the next generation is exposed to world-class talent on home soil.
Enhanced hospitality, entertainment, and fan activations are expected to build on the success of previous years.
Tickets will go on sale in due course via www.kpmgwomensirishopen.ie, with early bird offers expected.
