We wrote earlier in the week about the opportunity which Aviva was giving to Irish Rugby fans to step from their front room onto the big screen at the Aviva Stadium for tonight’s Guinness Autumn Series International against Wales.
Well now we have just seen it happen and no doubt this will be a treasured moment for the fans,
The Harmony Federation got things underway before being joined by supporters from all four provinces to sing Ireland’s Call alongside Andy Farrell’s men before kick-off.
The fans included Irish Rugby superfan Jennifer Malone, while one of the singers in the Harmony Federation, Jim Ryan is an uncle of Ireland’s James Ryan wearing the green jersey tonight.
“As a proud sponsor of the IRFU and Aviva Stadium, the home of Irish Rugby, we’re delighted we could give fans the chance to unite with the team in song ahead of tonight’s match. The relationship the Irish players have with the fans is really special and we hope this evening’s rendition of Ireland’s Call reminds the players that we stand shoulder to shoulder with them, even if right now we are apart.”
