Supporters of the SSE Airtricity First Division and Women’s National League will be able to watch their team in action on the opening weekend of the 2021 season courtesy of LOITV.

Season Ticket passes will cost €79, covering all 135 First Division game. Most clubs are offering the service free to members and season ticket holders.

In the Women’s National League, all 108 matches will be free to watch, with supporters simply asked to register on the platform.

“With 243 matches set to be on the platform this season, it will provide hours of exciting action across both competitions in what promises to be another exciting season,’ said league Director Mark Scanlon who will join us on the Sport for Business Daily next Friday morning to talk about the new season.

“As the COVID-19 restrictions continue, the revenue it will generate for the clubs is a key source of income and means supporters can continue to support their League of Ireland club in these difficult times whilst also providing supporters with an opportunity to follow their team from the comfort of their own home.”

The LOITV service will be broadcast via AI technology-based fixed cameras which have been installed in each stadium coupled with commentary and production features being delivered by each club.

The technology has been used in sporting arenas around the world and is based on the premise of the fixed camera positions tracking the flight of the ball.

Supporters can register for LOITV at www.loitv.ie.

While the higher standard broadcast of Watch LOI, provided by RTÉ is currently only confirmed for the first half of the season, LOITV is confirmed for the longer term with cameras having been installed at all the grounds.
