“Hurling is kind of the heart and soul down here in Kilkenny, and sometimes it’s all we have.” Conor Browne is captain of the Kilkenny Minor hurling team in All Ireland action on Sunday at Croke Park.

It goes deeper than the initial, likely to be award winning, ad we highlighted earlier in the week and brings in the Mammy’s concern about this being a big year going back to school to complete his leaving cert.
The fact that she herself is a 12 time All Ireland winner and her Father before her played minor and senior for the county means she will at least have some experience in getting the balance right.
