Leopardstown Racecourse has announced Grade 1-winning jockey Danny Mullins as its official ambassador, fresh off his victory yesterday aboard his uncle Willie Mullins’s Jimmy Du Seuil at the Cheltenham Festival.

In this role, Mullins will develop content to engage racing fans and drive interest in the sport.

With a distinguished career in Flat and National Hunt racing, the 32-year-old has accumulated 582 wins, including 28 prestigious Grade 1 victories.

Mullins’ first career win came in May 2008 at Leopardstown on My Girl Sophie for Jim Bolger. He has since established himself as a specialist around the Leopardstown fences, securing significant victories at the Dublin Racing Festival, including The Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup, The Ladbrokes Dublin Chase, The Tattersalls Novice Hurdle, and The Spring Juvenile Hurdle.

Mullins will work closely with Leopardstown to develop compelling content on its digital channels and on race days.

His involvement will bring fans behind the scenes of racing, offering insights into the life of a jockey and people in the industry, fostering a deeper connection with the sport.

Additionally, Mullins will inspire the next generation of racing enthusiasts through education days.

He will carry the Leopardstown brand on his racing kit on and off the track.

“Leopardstown Racecourse is known for its rich history and world-class racing, and we are excited to have such a talented jockey on board who embodies that,” said CEO Tim Husbands.

“Danny is a great role model for young people and a brilliant personality for racing.”

“Leopardstown holds a special place in my heart,” added Mullins.

“I’ve been lucky to ride a lot of big winners there. I’m thrilled to be joining the team as an ambassador, and I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences with fans.”
