Cian O’Sullivan has joined the BDO Private Client and Sports Advisory Team as a Director.

He joins from the tax department of Purcell McQuillan, having previously trained & worked with PwC.

He is a fully qualified accountant and has completed a Masters in Accounting in the Smurfit Business School.

O’Sullivan is a current member of the Dublin Senior Gaelic Football Team and captain of the Kilmacud Crokes club. He has won eight All-Ireland Senior football medals and is a three-time PwC All-Star.

He will work directly with Ciarán Medlar who leads the BDO Sports Advisory Unit.

“Cian is a fantastic addition to the team, bringing strong professional knowledge and combining that with his own elite sporting experience,” said Medlar.

Over the last 24 years it has built a strong reputation in the sector.

They currently advise over 90 professional sports clients on their commercial, tax, and financial affairs.

The primary sports in which they advise are football, rugby, golf and boxing, and they also work with many of Ireland’s elite sportspeople including GAA Players, jockeys & Olympic athletes.
