The Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs have been awarded NFL Global marketing rights in Ireland in an expansion of the programme.
Both teams have won the Superbowl on four occasions, and they join the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New York Jets, and the Jacksonville Jaguars, who each have rights in Ireland as well.
Launched in 2022, the Global Markets Program awards NFL clubs international marketing rights to build brand awareness and fandom beyond the U.S. through fan engagement, events, commercial opportunities and NFL Flag development.
This is the Packers’ first season with GMP rights in an international market. The Chiefs have been a part of the GMP program in previous seasons and are committed to global growth, expanding to new markets in 2025.
“Ireland continues to be an important market for the NFL as we look to play our first-ever regular season game in 2025 at Croke Park in Dublin,” said NFL U.K. & Ireland General Manager Henry Hodgson.
“The Chiefs and the Packers are fantastic additions to our Global Markets Program teams in-market, providing continuous opportunities for fans to engage with our sport and with the NFL as we grow across the country.”
The NFL will play its first-ever regular season game in Ireland at Croke Park in Dublin in 2025. The Pittsburgh Steelers will be the designated team. Opposing teams, game dates and full schedule will be released this spring.
