Paralympics Ireland have promoted Derek Kinnevey to the new role of Corporate Affairs Director as it prepares for a massive year with Paris 2024 less than 300 days away.

He is a former PR and Media manager at the Ladies Gaelic Football Association and also worked in communications with the FAI. He has been at Paralympics Ireland since joining after the Rio Games in 2017.

He will now head a team of three with Fiona Scally as Communications Executive being joined by Marisa Kennedy as a new Sponsorship Executive.

Scally joined the team last year and is a player with the Connacht Rugby team as well as having played in the Roscommon Senior Ladies Football Club Final this year with Clan na Gael.

Kennedy joins the team from the media where she worked as a programme executive with W-Sport after five years at Pundit Arena where she had travelled to Tokyo to cover the Paralympic Games in 2021.

She is an alumni of the Sport for Business / PWC 30 Under 30.

The team will be working closely with sponsors including PTSB and Allianz and we look forward to shining a light on the work they are doing over the course of 2024.
