The annual conference of the Physical Education Association of Ireland takes place tomorrow with a packed agenda and an important message.
The theme is ‘Teaching Physical Education in the Current Climate and rarely has it been so apt with schools still finding their way back towards allowing children to mix and get active.
The percentage of children who get the recommended amount of daily physical activity remains far too low at only 17 per cent and a major part of moving that number up has to be to make it interesting and varied.
There are five specific workshops on the Conference timetable. They cover the use of digital learning, inclusion and looking at examples from around the world from which we can learn.
Chris Steele will deliver a presentation on the PExpo which will take place next April and which Sport for Business is a great supporter of, looking to make it into the sporting equivalent of the BT Young Scientist.
