The SSE Airtricity LKeague gets underway tonight after two years of disruption and playing behind closed doors.

Season tickets are at an all-time high. Bohemians are in a position where they have sold every ticket in Dalymount Park for the whole season already through its ownership and membership platforms.

Storm Eunice may yet mean a delayed return for some of the clubs due to be in action tonight but the mood around the League has not been as positive in a long time.

We were joined by Mark Scanlon, League Director at the FAI to talk about the new season.

We spoke about the excitement of the return of fans to the grounds, the importance of maintaining a streaming service for those who cannot make it to the stadium on any given weekend and how sponsors have helped to raise the bar when it comes to the domestic game.

Next week we will publish our annual review of how clubs have fared over the course of the post-season, where their commercial partnerships are in 2022 and more.

We will also be joined online and in-person by Daniel Lambert, COO of Bohemian at our annual Sport for Social Good gathering with Allianz, to talk about how doing the right thing in the Dublin community has led to a stronger club in every aspect.
