KPMG have announced a new partnership with one of Ireland’s leading athletes, Rhasidat Adeleke.
The two-year partnership will see the sprinter come on board as KPMG’s newest sporting ambassador as she looks to build on her incredible achievements to date.
KPMG is a long-term supporter of women’s sport in Ireland and strives to ensure more equality in this space.
Alongside their current sponsorship of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, KPMG also has partnerships with Irish golfer, Leona Maguire and leading Irish jockey, Rachael Blackmore.
At the age of just 21, Adeleke holds Irish records at 60m, 200m, 300m and 400m indoors and at 200m, 300m and 400m outdoors.
She previously dominated the track at underage level when she won the gold medal in the 200m at the European Athletics U18 Championships at the age of 15, before going on to win gold in both the 100m and 200m at the European U20 Championships.
Last year, she turned professional, signed a partnership with fellow Sport for Business partner Allianz and finished fourth in the 400m at the 2023 World Athletics Championships.
“I’m really proud to become a KPMG ambassador,” she said on a call this afternoon.
“I have been very impressed with KPMG’s support of Leona and Rachael over the last number of years and am honoured to be part of the KPMG team.”
“Looking ahead to the summer, I know KPMG’s support will be a fantastic boost for me as I continue to strive for excellence, and hopefully inspire the future athletes of Ireland.”
“Investing in young talented people is core to our firm and our values and we are incredibly excited about this partnership,” added Seamus Hand, Managing Partner of KPMG in Ireland.
“Rhasidat is a true inspiration, showing real commitment and dedication to succeed at such a young age. We have been committed to supporting and promoting women in sport for many years and we look forward to continuing that journey with Rhasidat. We wish Rhasidat all the best in the season ahead and look forward to seeing her in action.”
