The dates have been confirmed for the 2027 Ryder Cup which will take place at Adare Manor, County Limerick, from Monday, September 13 to Sunday, September 19, 2027.

The prestigious biennial clash between Europe and the United States will coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Ryder Cup and mark only the second time the tournament has been held in Ireland, following the historic 2006 edition at The K Club.

Adare Manor will officially become the next host venue following this year’s contest at Bethpage Black in New York. The build-up will include four practice and event activation days from Monday to Thursday, before the three days of official competition begin on Friday, September 17.

Guy Kinnings, Chief Executive of the European Tour Group, hailed the announcement as “a significant milestone” in the countdown to the Ryder Cup’s return to Irish soil. He highlighted the momentum already building around Irish golf following Rory McIlroy’s recent Masters win and the upcoming Open Championship.

“Hosting a Ryder Cup is a huge collective effort,” Kinnings said, thanking the Government of Ireland, Adare Manor’s owner JP McManus, and Limerick City and County Council for their support.

Minister for Arts, Media, Culture, Communications and Sport Patrick O’Donovan emphasised the importance of a “whole of Government” approach in delivering a successful Ryder Cup.

“We will showcase Ireland as a world-class golfing and tourism destination and ensure a lasting legacy for the sport,” he said.

Minister of State Charlie McConalogue T.D. echoed the sentiment, noting the Ryder Cup’s role in boosting sport participation, tourism, and economic development.

“This centenary edition will attract worldwide attention and further reinforce Ireland’s reputation as a leading golf destination.”

JP McManus described the confirmation of dates as a major moment for the Adare Manor team and wider community.

“Hosting golf’s greatest team contest will bring tremendous economic and cultural benefits to the region. We are honoured and ready.”

Ticket applications for the 2027 Ryder Cup will open in 2026, with premium experience packages expected to be available later this year.

Opportunities to volunteer at the event will also be announced by the end of the year. Fans are encouraged to register their interest via Ryder Cup Europe.

Adare Manor’s championship course, designed by Tom Fazio and situated along the River Maigue, underwent a complete redesign in 2017. The venue has previously hosted the Irish Open and the star-studded JP McManus Pro-Am, which has raised millions for charity.
