Cricket Ireland has announced Sigenergy as a new multi-year sponsor of the Ireland Men’s international cricket team, adding another renewable energy brand to its growing commercial portfolio.
The Sigenergy logo will appear on the leading arm of the Ireland Men’s playing jersey across Test, ODI and T20I bilateral fixtures. The brand will also have a presence through ground branding at Cricket Ireland home international matches.
Sigenergy is a fast-growing global energy technology brand, founded in Shanghai, which provides integrated home and commercial energy systems. Its technology helps homeowners and businesses manage solar power, battery storage and electric vehicle charging through a single platform.
The partnership sits alongside Cricket Ireland’s existing relationship with Irish renewable energy business Fáilte Solar, whose branding will remain on the front of the Ireland Men’s playing jersey.
The link between the two sponsors is also a commercial and strategic one. Fáilte Solar founder Abhilash Borana is a key international partner for Sigenergy across multiple global markets, helping to connect international clean-tech innovation with Ireland’s renewable energy sector.
For Cricket Ireland, the addition of Sigenergy reflects a wider commercial strategy of building sustainable, long-term partnerships that can support the visibility of Irish cricket both at home and internationally.
“Sigenergy is proud to announce this new partnership, reinforcing the brand’s growing presence across some of the world’s most important renewable energy markets,” said Tony Xu, CEO of Sigenergy.
“Cricket holds a major global audience across countries including Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa, England, Ireland, and many other regions where Sigenergy is already performing strongly and continuing to expand its leadership position.
“As one of the world’s most followed sports, cricket provides a powerful international platform to connect with consumers, businesses, and communities across fast-growing energy markets. This partnership represents an important strategic step for Sigenergy as the company continues to deliver intelligent renewable energy solutions worldwide and strengthen its position as a leading global brand in clean energy innovation.”
Sarah Keane, CEO of Cricket Ireland, said the new agreement was a strong fit for the organisation.
“We are delighted to welcome Sigenergy to the Irish cricket family,” said Sarah Keane, CEO of Cricket Ireland.
“The addition of Sigenergy builds naturally on our partnership with Fáilte Solar and reflects Cricket Ireland’s strategy of working with forward-looking partners who are investing to grow cricket in Ireland.
“Cricket is almost uniquely placed in global sport to deliver true visibility in many of the largest and fastest growing markets in the world, but it’s Sigenergy’s commitment to working with Cricket Ireland to support our international men’s team that has impressed us most. Our thanks to Abhilash and his team for their ongoing support for Irish cricket.”
The announcement further strengthens the commercial backing for Irish Cricket and underlines the appeal of Irish cricket to brands looking for a platform with both local relevance and international reach.
