Those who will be staying up to watch the Super Bowl this weekend will no doubt enjoy the game and the Rihanna Half-time Show but we will not get to see the best of the Super Bowl advertising on this side of the Atlantic.

This year’s game will feature on Fox and is expected to attract an audience of close to or just over 100 million.

The advertising spots are the most expensive on any TV station around the world with a 30-second spot costing $7 million just for the airtime this year.

Obviously, if you are spending that big you want to make an impact, and in recent years that has extended to previewing ads and teasers on social media beforehand.

Next week after the game we will bring you the best and maybe the worst of the ads but as our own little teaser here are some of the pre-game ads that have been generating the most noise.
