
It’s one of three games in the Championship with the U20’s in action this evening in Cork and the Women’s team getting their Championship underway at Energia Park.
It is a busy time for sponsors of the sport and the tournament to get their message across and we will be tracking their efforts through the games over the weekend for a special Social report on Monday morning.
In advance, though there has been some smart activity going on across the media and around the country.
Vodafone has partnered with fellow sport for Business member Off The Ball to bring coverage from the middle east and the naming of the team earlier in the week and through competitions that have been running across the OTB Channels.
PwC have been promoting their sponsorship of the U20’s with a well-targeted piece of video content looking ‘beyond what is to what can be.

Aer Lingus picked up strong coverage when they revealed the first of what will be a series of murals around the country celebrating the Women’s team.
First up below was in Riverstown, County Sligo, home town of Aoife McDermott.
We really liked Aviva’s launch earlier in the week of a new sensory hub at the Aviva Stadium. targetted at those who find crowds a real challenge but would still love to be part of our major sporting occasions the team had Jamie Heaslip and James McClean in the box ahead of the first opening of the hub for fans this Saturday.
Intersport Elvery’s are official sports retail partner to the IRFU and will be looking forward to a busy weekend at the outlets in and around the ground.
They have also been active on the competition front with signed jerseys being given away to fans around the country.
Energia has focused more on the club scene where they are sponsors of the AIL as well as being energy partner to the IRFU. They have also been looking to the summer with promotion around the Energia 7’s Festival taking place in Donnybrook over the June Bank Holiday weekend.
If you are around Howth today watch out for Tommy Bowe leading a group of intrepid hikers around the Head on a Guinness sponsored hike as part of their Guinness Six Nations Experiences programme.
And finally, if you are not able to make it to Donnybrook on Sunday for the Women’s game, Guinness is putting strong weight behind its campaign to raise awareness of the team and the Championship.
