Clara O’Brien
Clara O’Brien is the High-Performance Pathway Coordinator at Rowing Ireland. She has been nominated for the broad spectrum of work she has covered in Rowing Ireland and the wider rowing community throughout her time working in the sport.
She has worn many hats within the Rowing Ireland and wider Team Ireland circle.
She was the interim Head Rowing coach at the University of Limerick, leading the club to one of its most successful Irish Championships.
She then joined Rowing Ireland as a Communications and Events Executive and excelled in this role, transforming the social media channels and resulting in massive increases in engagement.
She was a member of Heather Boyle’s Team Ireland media team for Paris 2024. On her return, she stepped up into her current role.
She oversees Rowing Ireland’s pathway programs for U19 and U23 athletes. This involved bringing Ireland’s largest combined U19 and U23 squad to the World Championships in Canada in August 2024.

Criteria
The criteria for submission are that the person should be working within the sports industry or in a sponsorship or agency capacity that brings sport to life and that they should have been born in or after 1995.
You are invited to submit names and a summary of why an individual should be recognised below.

We will be naming one new 30 Under 30 individual in our Sport for Business Morning Bulletin from Thursday, March 20th, 2025
In May, we will gather once more in the offices of PwC to meet in person, share experiences, and forge valuable connections.
We will also examine additional ways to help those nominated enhance their careers and build strong friendships across the sector.
The Sport for Business Membership comprises over 300 organisations, including all the leading sports and sponsors, as well as commercial and state agencies.
