Our annual look at initiatives and ideas that are helping keep sport at the forefront of inclusion, equality, and community will return next Tuesday, 14th October, once more in partnership with our friends at Allianz.
The power of sport as a language to break through barriers can never be underestimated.
This event has been a regular fixture on our calendar since 2017, shining a powerful light on the use of sport for social good.
This year’s lineup of speakers is as strong as ever.
Karen Coventry is the newly appointed CEO of Special Olympics Ireland and will discuss the plans coming together for next year’s National Games, the impact that the Special Olympics Movement has had on Irish society and on the athletes themselves and their families.
Brian Crooke is the founder of the Work Well Community, the host of the Work Well Podcast, and the creator of the ParkHIIT project, which brings free resistance training to communities nationwide.
Colin Sharkey and Shane McCardle are the leads at the Dublin City Council and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Local Sports Partnerships, delivering programmes and services that are at the forefront of where sport can have the most significant impact on target groups.
Cliona Horan is the delivery lead for the Allianz Paralympics Ireland NextGen programme, identifying and nurturing the next generation of high-performance Irish para-athletes.
This year’s event will now be a recorded video session, with in-person participation for the speakers, and recordings of each session will be made available for all to see over the following week.
We are offering a full refund or the option to transfer your ticket to a future Sport for Business event for those who had booked to attend in person.
