Sports Direct has doubled its GAA Inter County presence by signing a two-year deal with Louth GAA, coming on board as the official partner to the Louth Senior, U20s and U17 teams in football and hurling.
The brand is already the principal partner of Cork GAA, the LGFA Gaelic4MothersandOthers programme, the Sports Direct Men’s and Women’s FAI Cups, the Northern Ireland Football League Sports Direct Premiership, and as a premium partner to the KPMG Women’s Irish Open.
The brand also remains deeply committed to its GAA grassroots supporter programme earmarked for expansion in 2024.
“We are delighted to offer our support to Louth GAA on their inspiring journey in GAA,” said Sports Direct Ireland Managing Director Leonard Brassel.
“As a nation, Ireland has a history of punching above its weight and nowhere showcases that better than in GAA.”
“We are excited about our new partnership with Sports Direct, which will support us in the growth and development of Louth GAA panels from U17 to Senior in both hurling and football,” added County Board Chair Peter Fitzpatrick.
“It is a testament to the belief we have in our teams and the future. Louth GAA has big plans on and off the field of play, to build on our recent results, to maintain a presence in Division 2 is a priority, a return to the All-Ireland Championship stages in the later stages of the 2024 season, compete and at a minimum retain our Nicky Rackard status and continue our journey towards a new home in Dundalk with the development of our own stadium.”
The new Louth Home Kit, manufactured by O’Neill’s, goes on sale in Sports Direct stores from December 7th 2023. Sports Direct has two newly refurbished stores in Louth, Dundalk Retail Park and the M1 Retail Park, Drogheda.
These are part of an estate that now stretches to almost 50 as well as a popular online offering.
Fans can expect €10 back in the form of a voucher with every purchase of the new Home Jersey.
