Springboard Communications has been appointed as the Irish communications provider for the Ryder Cup 2027, strengthening preparations for one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, which will take place at Adare Manor in September 2027.

The award-winning independent Irish agency will work closely with Ryder Cup Europe to manage Irish media relations and stakeholder communications in the lead-up to the tournament. The role will be central to ensuring strong engagement with national and regional media, as well as key partners and communities, as momentum builds towards the event.

The appointment represents a major vote of confidence in the company which has offices in Cork and Dublin and a growing presence in Limerick. It is also the Irish partner of the Worldcom Public Relations Group, providing clients with access to an extensive international network of independent agencies.

Speaking following the announcement, Managing Director Susie Horgan said the opportunity reflects both the calibre of the agency’s work and its deep-rooted connections across the country.

“The Ryder Cup is one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world, and to be appointed as Irish communications provider is a significant milestone for our agency,” she said. “It reflects the strength and experience of our team, particularly in Munster, and the trusted relationships we have built nationally.”

“We are proud to support Ryder Cup Europe in delivering communications support for a contest that will have a positive and lasting impact for Ireland.”

From an organisational perspective, the appointment is seen as a key step in building the infrastructure required to deliver a successful tournament, both on and off the course.

Richard Atkinson, Chief Ryder Cup Officer, highlighted the importance of having a strong Irish partner in place as preparations intensify.

“As preparations continue for Ryder Cup 2027 at Adare Manor, it is important that we have a strong communications provider in Ireland,” he said.

“Springboard Communications brings valuable experience and on-the-ground expertise, and we look forward to working together as we build towards what promises to be a memorable Ryder Cup in 2027.”

The announcement follows a standout year for Springboard Communications. The agency achieved B Corp certification, underlining its commitment to responsible business practices, and secured major industry recognition, including PRCA Agency of the Year at the Spotlight Awards for Excellence in Communications and PRII Consultancy Team of the Year at the PRII Communication Impact Awards.
