Hockey Ireland has announced its continued partnership with TG4 as the channel looks to broadcast domestic hockey for the very first time, bringing some of Ireland’s top club competitions to viewers via the Spórt TG4 YouTube channel.
Over the coming weeks, four thrilling matches will be streamed live, showcasing the best of Irish club hockey as part of TG4’s ongoing commitment to promoting Irish sport.
Coverage begins with the EY Champions Trophy Finals on Sunday, May 4th, followed by the AIG Irish Senior Cup Finals on Saturday, May 10th.
This weekend’s EY Champions Trophy finalists have yet to be confirmed, with semi-finals taking place this Saturday, May 3rd.
In the women’s semi-finals, Loreto take on Old Alex, while Railway Union face Ulster Elks. The men’s last-four ties will see Lisnagarvey play YMCA and Three Rock Rovers take on Banbridge.
The winners will progress to the finals on Sunday, May 4th, both of which will be streamed live on Spórt TG4 YouTube, with the Women’s Final at 13:30 and the Men’s at 15:45.
The following weekend, TG4 will also stream the AIG Irish Senior Cup Finals on Saturday, May 10th. Lisnagarvey Vs YMCA and Railway Union Vs Loreto will both be shown live with match commentary from Isobel Joyce and Stephen Alkin, bringing expert insight and analysis to the live coverage.
Both the EY Champions Trophy Finals on May 4 and the AIG Irish Senior Cup Finals on May 10 will also be streamed on Hockey Ireland TV.
