TG4 will broadcast live matches from the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup in England, marking the channel’s first-ever live coverage of a Rugby World Cup.

The tournament, which runs from 22 August to 27 September, will be the biggest in the competition’s history, featuring 16 teams for the first time.

TG4’s coverage begins on Saturday, 23 August, with Australia v Samoa from the Salford Community Stadium in Manchester. In total, the broadcaster will show five pool games and one semi-final, all available live on TG4, the TG4 Player and the TG4 App.

Saturday, 30 August – Scotland v Fiji – KO 14:45 – Manchester

Saturday, 6 September – Wales v Fiji – KO 14:45 – Exeter
Saturday, 20 September – Semi-Final 2 – KO 15:30 – Bristol

The announcement is part of a partnership with RTÉ, who will broadcast all of Ireland’s Group A matches, one semi-final and the final from Allianz Stadium in London on Saturday, 27 September.

Ireland, currently ranked 5th in the world, will be aiming to surpass their best-ever finish of fourth place in 2014.

TG4 will complement its live coverage with digital output across Spórt TG4’s social media channels, offering highlights and behind-the-scenes content throughout the tournament.

RTÉ is set to confirm the details of its broadcast schedule tomorrow morning and we will carry all the details on Sport for Business then.
