The First Tee was an inspired idea from Golf Ireland, going into the second year of the revived KPMG Women’s Irish Open.

This year, the third edition has brought together Paralympian Ellen Keane, Football international Stephanie Zambra and Fitness influencer, Nathalie Lennon.

None of them had any previous experience with golf and have been on a crash course learning to play before taking to the course at Carton House Fairmont this Wednesday for the Pro-Am competition as part of the main event.

Their journey has been tracked throughout on social media and in the series of video’s below.

The trio will be on the first tee at shortly after 0900 on the O’Meara Course, and in the latest episode, dropping this week, they were out on the course with Lauren Walsh.

On Wednesday, they will be playing a scramble format meaning that they will be able to will be able to go to the best shot between the three and their professional on the day.

It doesn’t mean they will be less nervous when the first shot comes, but they will relax into it and it will be fun to follow them around the course, but that will have to wait for public consumption until episode five.
