We will be live this lunchtime at the Irish Times Sport Ireland Sportswoman of the Year lunch in the Shelbourne Hotel.

It is one of the most enjoyable and celebratory events of the year, and our final story of the year will be the naming of the winner later this afternoon.

In fact, though it is a celebration of twelve great winners, one from each month that has lit up the sporting landscape with their talent and achievement.
