The Leinster Rugby women’s team documentary, This Is Leinster, was previewed at an exclusive screening yesterday evening at the Bank of Ireland branch on College Green, to Leinster players, coaches and staff.

The five-part series, supported by Bank of Ireland, was shot in the summer of 2024 and led by Leinster videographer Tom O’Sullivan.

It is the first of its kind to follow the Leinster Women’s team as it charts the fortunes of Tania Rosser’s side as they defend their Interprovincial title against their provincial rivals.

As well as access to the camps, meetings, training sessions and match day environments of the team, the Leinster cameras also followed star players Hannah O’Connor, Ruth Campbell and Eimear Corri away from their sport to get to know the players and their journeys a little better.

Speaking to leinsterrugby.ie, Marcus Ó Buachalla, Head of Communications and Media with Leinster Rugby said, “This has been a while in the planning, but it was brilliant to finally get it off the ground and Tom, and indeed the wider team of Bernardo Santos and Paul Cahill have done a brilliant job in producing a first of its kind piece of content for us as a club.”

“We couldn’t have done it without the support of Paula Murphy and her team in Bank of Ireland, and then of course the support of Tania and her brilliant team of coaches and players who welcomed us with open arms.”

“The level of trust that they placed in us was crucial and we hope it will show people at home, and not just Leinster supporters, what a special group of people they are, often times combining work in the real world with being elite level athletes representing their club and their country on the highest stage.”

“We are also indebted to Hannah, to Ruth and to Eimear for allowing us access into their lives away from the pitch and for being so open with their stories and their journeys to here.”

“This Is Leinster is a celebration of everything that is good about this group and we hope that people enjoy it.”

The first episode, titled ‘Our Marae’, follows the squad on a weekend-camp in Tullamore RFC as they build towards the start of the season, as well as spending time with Hannah O’Connor as a teacher in her school in Lucan, and Eimear Corri as a doctor at the RCSI.

All five episodes will be available for free across Leinster Rugby Plus and the Leinster YouTube channel and the first episode will be live from Thursday, 6 February at 7pm.
