There is a wealth of sporting projects featured in this year’s BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition. One of them on the way new rules have made scrums safer in juvenile rugby will feature on today’s John Murray show on RTE Radio 1 and we will carry a feature on many more in Monday’s Sport for Business digest.
At yesterday’s Business of Sports Science Conference we put the spotlight on two projects from last year, from St Gerald’s in Castlebar on the ‘talking gum shield’ and Colaiste Baille Chlar in Galway on introducing GPS led scoring to Handball. Both projects gained great praise from the audience including from Paul McGinley and Dublin Senior Football Manager Jim Gavin.
