We have been blown away by the feedback on Wednesday’s Sport for Business Women in Sport Conference at RTÉ.
Yesterday we reported on what was said by the panels we had assembled.
There has already been substantial follow up on a number of the initiatives that were unveiled, including praise for Sport Ireland’s new Maternity policy for athletes and for the RTÉ Road Map which was reported elsewhere in the Irish Examiner and commented on widely on social media.
Here are some of the comments we have received over the past 24 hours as well as a selection of the social media commentary that kept those who couldn’t join us on the day part of what was going on.
“It was a very inspiring, energising and balanced conference.”
“The best conference I have been at on the subject of Women in Sport, anywhere in the world. Well done”
“Very informative and enjoyable.”
“It was a top quality event – slick, informative and a hugely welcome break from a desk full of paperwork.”
“The line-up of speakers was superb – although panellists are going to have to start realising that when they appear on a guest list with Joanne O’Riordan, they are always going to be second best!”
“Thank you so much for such a wonderful day. It really opened my mind and awoke something in me on a very personal level.”
Really enjoyable day at #SfBWomenInSport. Inspiring & motivating talks from all. Loved talking about @sportireland #WomenInSportIre Policy, outcomes achieved to date & what to expect in the future. Great to share the stage too with Sarah @20x20_ie who are doing fantastic work. pic.twitter.com/HkUeEa0GnQ

A great morning in RTÉ with @SportforBusines , hearing from such a range of speakers on the importance of women in sport.
How the individual effort of many, adds up & can cause real change to happen.
