Fergus Grimes – Score Beo

Fergus Grimes is the founder and creator of Score Beo a GAA live scoring app that has proven to be a winner with fans and investors.

The app was launched in 2020 coinciding with the closure of grounds and the inability of fans to get to games. The desire to know what was going on in games not televised is catered for to a degree on Twitter and mainstream media with live update pages but he felt there was a big enough gap to create a business.

The App provides Live Scores, covering Inter-County Gaelic Football, Hurling, Camogie and Ladies Football, also providing team news and League Tables.

Score Beo topped Irish sports charts in the Apple Store after just a few weeks of being released. It has also been shortlisted for New App of the Year in the Digital DNA Awards.

He is a graduate in Business and Entrepreneurship from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and set up the business after failing to land a job upon graduation.
