Mark is the founder of the recently rebranded T1 agency and the Canadian Sponsorship Forum, and a leading figure in the Canadian sponsorship and marketing industry. Passionate about events, sports marketing, sponsorship and promotion, Mark founded TrojanOne Ltd. in 1994. Mark applies his 20+ years’ experience in sponsorship and brand activation to serve an array of blue-chip clients and causes.
Matthew Leopold – British Gas, Head of Sponsorship
Topic – The Rights and Wrongs of Measuring Sponsorship
Matthew has a background in PR and branding, and has been involved in shaping and implementing partnerships for most of his career. Primarily focusing on the title sponsorship of British Swimming and its subsidiaries, Matthew has been able to focus on making swimming’s assets work hard for British Gas. As a non-Olympic sponsor of an Olympic sport, Matthew oversaw BG’s hugely successful 2012 campaign which gave free swims to anyone that pledged support to the British Swimming team.
Patrick O’Brien – Sponsorship Manager, Calgary Stampede
Topic – Activating Brands Through a Digital Marketing Platform
Pat leads a very diverse and passionate group of over 250 sponsors and partners while leading a team of nine high performing staff who manage the relationships with some of Canada’s largest and most active brands. Prior to joining the Stampede, Pat worked for six years at Alpine Canada and the Canadian Alpine Ski Team, as Race Events Manager.
Jon Burkhart – Founder, TBC, London
