Aer Lingus College Football Classic - Boston College team practiceThe activity around Dublin has been building in advance of Saturday’s Aer Lingus College Football Classic.

The Boston College team arrived at their Carton House base yesterday and managed to get in practice on the specially marked out pitch facility more normally host to the Irish Rugby team.

Sport for Business members Experience Gaelic Games were part of the welcome party and gave the players an introduction to the story and the skills behind hurling and our own brand of football.

Away from the pitch George Mitchell addressed a special lunch for the Irish Institute Alumni and later today the US Ambassador will host a special reception for visiting dignitaries at his Residence in the Phoenix Park.

A Touchdown Flash Sale of a limited number of remaining tickets for the game was snapped up and the Welcome village at Trinity College is open today.

There will be a welcome parade of marching bands, teams and supporters heading there down O’Connell Street from 4-30 this afternoon.

Further south of the City the Inaugural Gateway Cup golf tournament will take place at Woodbrook Golf Club with Bernard Brogan, George Hook, Dessie Farrell of the Gaelic Players Association and the Mayor of Atlanta teeing off and making connections with some of Ireland’s leading business figures.
